Billing question

I activated my ooma telo yesterday. I made 4 (local calls, not international) to check whether it is operational. I glad it works! However, when I checked my credit card I have 2 $10 charges coming from ooma. Since I'm a new customer with 60 days trial period, why am I being charged? What is the deal? Please explain.

Those are pre-charges to validate your credit card. It is standard practice by all merchants. In your credit card account they should be listed as pending charges. If they are not followed by an actual charge in 3 to 5 days they will disappear.
