I just bought a Telo via ebay and I have 7 days to return it. This unit is for a second home that I won't visit until May. Does anyone know how to test a unit without installing it?

Activate online, then power it up after plugging into the router, plug a phone in and test.

You can leave it plugged into the router but turned off....turning it on at least once every six months.
