Yesterday my internet went down for 5 hours (in fact our whole neighborhood was affected).
I have call forwarding set to relay my incoming calls to my wife's cell phone in such an event. About 2 hours in to the outage I decided to test that call forwarding was working by calling my Ooma number from my cell phone. I expected the call to be forwarded to my wife's cell but it did not - it went straight to the Ooma voicemail.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

I have tested this feature. It is unreliable. After waiting 15 minutes after disconnecting the Internet it worked. Once. The other time the test call went straight to voicemail. I have since quit messing with it.

During this area's recent bout with hurricane and tropical storm winds and rain, Comcast internet service was out in my neighborhood for about four days before being restored. The call forwarding on network outage feature worked perfectly for me during that period. I never missed a call.
