Ooma Basic Secondary Number?

Post by ultraviolet353 » Wed Aug 03, 2011 11:24 am

Hello--

I recently ported my number from AT&T to Ooma.

In the "Phone Numbers" section in "Preferences, " I am seeing two numbers. My ported number, and the the number Ooma gave me when I activated. They are both listed as Default.

I am not upgrading to Ooma Premier. When my Premier Trial expires in 17 days, do I get to keep both numbers or just one? If I only get to keep one number, I want to make sure I keep the number that I ported.

Do I need to do anything special to ensure I keep my ported number when my Ooma premier trial ends? If I can only keep one number under the Ooma Basic plan, I want to make sure I keep the number I ported and not the one Ooma gave me.

Anyone know how this works--or do you get two numbers with Ooma Basic as well?

You get 1 number with basic.
When the Premier trial expires the secondary number will be deleted.
Are you using your ported number to log into your account?
That would indicate that it is the primary number.
Your primary number is also listed first on the Preferences -> Phone Numbers page.

Like murphy says, the first number listed is your Primary number. The Default you see is the Ring Pattern setting. When Premier expires; the 2nd number listed will drop off.

Yes, I am using my ported number to login--

Thanks for the responses. I'm all set then as my ported number is the one I use to log in.
