Actiontec DSL Modem any good??

Post by danlisman » Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:25 pm

I am considering a new DSL modem and have started looking.

Does anybody have any experience with Actiontec DSL modem or recommendation for other DSL modem under $75 ??
Thanks
Dan
Get rid of satellite/cable. Buy DVR to Pause-Rewind-Record live antenna HDTV.

I bought that modem about 6 months ago and it works great. I replaced an old Speedstream that was starting to disconnect from the internet. The Actiontec was so much faster than the old one.

I connected the router to the Actiontec, turned everything on and it auto-sensed the setup and went into bridge mode on its own. Nice.

I have 5 users connected all day long and it runs pretty hard, never skips a beat.

I recommend it.

After watching my modem statistics for a few days, I think it is worth the $45 to get the Actiontec for a try. Since Newegg uses UPS instead US postal, it should ship today.
Thanks
