Curious questions

Post by BackupBob » Sat Jan 08, 2011 10:35 pm

1. What is the significance of the name, "ooma"?
2. Why is the name usually shown in all lower case?

In German, "Oma" is an affectionate term for a grandmother. Is there any connection?

The proper name for Ooma is supposed to be all lower case. I've read this in numerous reviews.

Example: http://www.bagofnothing.com/2009/08/pondering-ooma/

Ooma defnition, I've read somewhere, is supposed to mean "do not." I guess DO NOT pay another phone bill again is the idea :)
