My forwarding issue can be disregarded - solved. While my original ph# is being ported over I have my original# forwarded to my temporary "new" phone#. In this instance, my calls are not forwarded to my cell but when calling my "real" (Ooma) number the calls are properly forwarded, so this issue will resolve itself when my number completes the porting process.

Double forwarding is not permitted because it's too easy to create an infinite loop.
What happens if A is forwarded to B and B is forwarded to A?
