Our DirectTV unit is failing to get calls to go out through OOMA. It looks like it is dialing out but times out and the call fails. Is there anything I need to configure special on OOMA or on the DirectTV DVR?

Precede the number that the DVR calls with *99 Pause , and set the baud rate to 9600 baud if the DVR allows that.

That did not work - it connects sometimes but apparently lacks sufficient bandwidth to get account information from direct tv.

Not familar, but check to see if your DTV has a network jack, perhaps you dont need to dialup anymore. Perhaps DTV can upgrade your box??
