I checked my online account listing and found the following today after signing up yesterday:


I already went ahead and cancelled the premium trial. I am assuming that this is just a hodl to verify that my card was valid. At least I sincerely hope so. I think you should better disclose this $10 hold to people on signup because it does hold the money and some people might end up overdrawn if they keep their balance low and use their account for other things.

Incidently when does Ooma release this hold and how often do they do this?

I can verify that it is a temprary hold. The $10 charge stayed on my Visa card for 4 days - it stayed in pending then just disappeared.
