Currently with Verizon I have an unpublished number (not in phone book, cant get by calling 411). If I port my verizon phone number over to Ooma, will my number still be unpublished or will I be able to get it unpublished?

VoIP numbers normally don't appear anywhere so your number should be as safe as it is now. I would still recommend that after porting you add it to the National Do Not Call Direcory - it isn't foolproof but it is an added layer of security against annoying calls.

And lest we forget, Welcome to ooma and to the forum!

Not to bring up a new post to an OLD thread, but I just recently did a port of my number ATT to ooma. Had ooma for several years before that. NOW, I am getting about 1 spam voicemail every 2-3 days. NEVER really got much before, wonder if it is the ooma number or the ported number
