I have tryed to change from the default "Ooma tone" in the preferences menu, but none of the other options work. Anyone else having this problem? My wife seems OK with the new "techy" phone, but the funky tone has to go(I like it)!

In case you're not aware of this, the connection tone is different from the Ooma dial tone. The connection tone is played when the called party answers the call, and is heard by the called party. You can turn off the connection tone if you like. The musical dial tone cannot be changed. The Ooma dial tone serves a practical purpose for those who are using a landline in conjunction with Ooma, so they know which line they are dialing out on.
