If you haven't been talking to porting department through email, try this loa@ooma.com
Straight Talk is a reseller. So is Ooma. They both have to talk to the main carrier to get your port done. Maybe something is getting lost in translation.

I'm a newbee to Ooma but noticed a lot of people complaining about the time it takes to port their number. Just want to recap my experience. I ordered the porting on May 20 and it was completed on May 24. That was from Frontier Communications here in Fort Wayne. I don't know about others, but I thought that was pretty quick. I really hope to enjoy my Ooma experience. :D :D

My porting (from Rogers Communications in Ontario) took about 3 weeks - a lot faster than what they predicted!

It went through very smoothly - after it was done I just plugged a line from the Telo's phone port to a phone jack in the house (after disconnecting the Rogers telephony modem) - everything works just as it did! We have an HD2 handset on the way as well - Costco in Canada has them in stock again (in case anyone is looking for them) - so we can access some of the functionality (like Do Not Disturb) and hide the Telo away. It is in a spare room right now - it was a convenient place with power, an unused phone jack and an unused LAN drop all close together, but we don't go in that room for much.

I did two ports from Verizon and both were done in about 3 days... it often depends upon the carrier that is releasing the number, not Ooma...
