Does your telo have 2 jacks in the back, one for PHONE and one for WALL. If it does make sure you are using PHONE.

Got to run, take over Thunderbird or whoever

madmorry:
If you are new to Ooma, you have a free two month trial period for the Ooma Premier service. If so go into My Ooma and add a second line phone number. Then test making inbound and outbound calls to/from using the second Ooma phone number with nothing connected to the Ooma Telo phone port exept one phone, not connected to you house wiring.

If you are not new to Ooma within the two month trial period and don't have Ooma Premier service:
Try one of your other phones connected directly to the Ooma Telo phone port. Don't run the connection through your house phone wiring. If you did not disconnect the old phone service phone cable wiring, from the street wiring, from your House phone wiring, damage may occur to the Ooma Telo.

Next try:
Factory Reset Ooma Telo - Old Alternate Manual Procedure
1. Remove power from the Ooma Telo.
2. Repower the Ooma Telo.
3. Line 1 & Line 2 lights come on.
4. Line 1 & Line 2 lights go out and the Trash and Envelope lights come on for a very short period of time.
5. The Trash & Envelope lights go out and the bottom row (runway lights) starts scanning to the right.
6. When the scanning stops, the Ooma symbol will began flashing Red.
7. Press the Trash button, then the bottom row Stop button (small square button).
8. Hold both the Trash and Stop buttons pressed until told to release.
9. The Ooma symbol will alternately blink Red and Blue.
10. The Ooma symbol will turn solid Red.
11. Release the Stop and Trash buttons.
12. Wait for a short period of time. The Ooma Telo will cycle back into a reboot.
13. After a successful Factory Reset, all Ooma Setup settings will be Factory.

If you are using an Ooma Wi-Fi dongle, you have to access Ooma Setup and rescan for the Wi-Fi network before a Wi-Fi connection can be made. The same is true for DSL, if you have to enter Connection type PPoE and a Name and Password for the Internet provider connection. You may want to reset MAC address to Use Built In, reset your Quality of Service Upstream/Downstream Internet Speed settings, and Bluetooth settings if you are using Ooma’s USB Bluetooth dongle. Ooma Telo handsets will have to be re-registered.

The try to make and receive phone calls to your Ooma phone number.

Thunderbird - I am past the two month window. I sufferred a stroke last August and am having difficulty remembering much about Ooma. I do not know which button is the "stop" button. I am so frustrated with this problem that I am about to abandon Ooma and just use my cel.

Sorry about your heath issues, I can relate to it.

Hang in there with us just a bit, maybe we can work this out, I certainly understand your frustration.

Has the Telo ever worked? Or is this a new problem?

As best I can recall the system worked fine prior to my stroke with an earlier Uniden wireless system. After my stroke I lived for a time with my son. After returning to my home the former Uniden system base unit failed. The replacement system is the one that I can't seem to connect to Ooma.

The stop button is located in the bottom row of lights, a small square Button.

Also go into My Ooma and make sure you credit card information is up to date.

How long were you at your sons? More than 6 months? If so,was the Telo connected to the internet the whole time or was it off.

BTW I hope health is on the mend!

I was with my son for about a month, Telo was operating at his home while there. Health is returned fine, thanks for asking.
