I will be firing Atlantic broadband phone service on the 11th of this month I final got a port date. I started the porting on the first of Feb but never the less goodbye land line service and hello ooma

Well, false alarm
Verizon came yesterday and the tech said they were checking the ground on the FIOS boxes...seems that some early installations were not grounded properly. It had nothing to do with the telephone wiring!
