Had OOMA 2 weeks now.. GREAT! Worked as advertised, plugged in, found a number close to me (not too close) started talking. I become one of OOMAs sales team recomending to everybody.
But.. When I call people their callerID shows the my NEW number and somebody else as the CallerID Name (not me). I have gone confidential to avoid confusion but then everybody thinks you are a telemarketer..
It this a first? Does it just take 2-4 weeks to cycle the name in?

Happened to me also - but a call to support will straighten it out. The other name probably belongs to the person who had the number before you and the partner that supplied the number to ooma just left the informatin there instead of wiping it. Also the database of CID takes some time to propagate. Think of it as a window of opportunity to make calls you would not normally make if people knew it was you <<grin>>
