How do I use my second number?

Post by RxTx » Wed Aug 11, 2010 10:44 pm

Hi,

Several questions:

1. Just activated ooma telo and the ooma handset. Where can I find the procedure to make a call using the second number? When I went through the process of choosing a second number I saw a **1 prefix. Can't find reference again and it does not work either.

2. What is a Google numbers? I have googled google numbers and only see indirect Google references to Google numbers. It does not make sense. Is there any way to UN-google the nonsense?

3. I like a rotary dial phone, the bigger the better. Is there any way to make a rotary dial phone compatible with the ooma telo? Do I only need a pulse to touch tone converter box?

Thanks

I can answer #2 with a link that explains it...

https://www.google.com/voice/

Someone else can jump in with the other answers. :)

1. Dial **1 and then the number you want to call. The caller ID for your second number will be used.

Note that your numbers 1 and 2 have no relation to lines 1 and 2.
The first call will always use line 1. The only time line 2 is used is if line 1 is already in use.

3. A rotary phone will not work with Ooma. A pulse to tone converter may work.
