allo, it feels cool to the touch all around. I like that; feels good.

Now, if only if I can get this in white :)

.

It sounds like it is worth looking into!
Where can one get one of those (IPhone cooling Pad- IH-B931NR) at a decent price?
Do you hook up USB to the HUB?.
Fan noise?

The ones you are looking for IH-B931NR are pretty pricey.

There aren't too many of these specific ones (mine) out there. I got mine used from eBay in Dec for $7.99 total.

It isn't the quietest thing in the world but it is okay for me.

You can probably do better with a regular laptop cooling pad but I couldn't find one that looked any good for cheap.

The Hub's usb port doesn't put out juice so I had to get an usb extension and plug into a wall outlet.

Your method works too :)

Nah, I bought the item used from this seller: http://myworld.ebay.com/mbaarussell

The min bid was $2 but no one else bid. Shipping was $5.99 though LOL

The ended item is old so taken off of eBay now.

I just found this passive cooler on sale for $10... I am going to try it, because most coolers with fans make some noise!
It should work because the hottest part is underneath the Hub , maybe not as good as one with fans... but it should help.

Here are three shots of my Tricked-Out Telo. The Telo feeds four different lines through the small circuit board at the bottom right (with four illuminated LEDs). These are, from top to bottom:

(1) My ancient Friday answering machine
(2) A VTech cordless base with six handsets around the house
(3) Another VTech cordless base with another six handsets around the house
(4) Another VTech configured as an announce-only answerer.

When on-hook, the PC listens for incoming calls. When a call comes in (detected by a ring detector on the little circuit board), the PC:

(1) Disconnects (via the circuit board) all four devices during the first ring -- so the phones never ring on first ring.
(2) Connects all devices between the first and second rings, so all devices see and display the CallerID. Disconnects all devices after the CallerID comes in.
(3) Interprets the CallerID.
(4) Decides which device(s) that caller is allowed to reach.
(5) Connects those devices for the second and subsequent rings
(6) After the ring sequence has ended (no rings for 5 seconds), connects all devices until the next call comes in. That's so I can call out.

My friends get devices 1, 2, and 3. They ring all 12 phones, and if I don't answer they can leave a message on Friday.

Strangers get devices 2 and 3 but not 1. They ring all 12 phones, but if I don't answer they can't leave a message unless they hang on for ten rings and get Ooma voicemail.

Some unwelcome callers like Comcast salespersons get only device 4, the announce-only answerer. Its announcement is the three-tone signal that indicates a disconnected number, followed by the announcement: "The number you have reached is not in service. If you feel you have reached this recording in error, please try your call again. This is a recording." Then it hangs up. My phones never ring during these calls.

Most unwelcome callers, however, get nothing, and my phones don't ring. This is very handy during election time, and any time a telemarketer calls.

nn5i, very impressive. All you need now is a custom case for your components :)

Well, I do have a very nice New Hermes engraving machine for making the front panel. Maybe one of these days --
