Wow, interesting new deal that ooma had given out. I've seen this in ads on a lot of websites lately.

here's a link to the buy page. Note: the main ooma page doesn't say anything about this deal...only for those who click the link on the ad can get to this "buy" page.

Question is do you get Premier with that $9.99/mo? Whether you do or not makes a big difference (ie is this a new way to market the hardware portion or hardware+premier service)

Looks like a different T&C for this offering, the service level is "Basic Plus Service(s)", but I've no idea what that includes.

Based on the T&C it does seem like Premier is separate from Basic Plus since they are referred to as separate entities.

Ooma is looking more and more like Vonage, with a different price equation. Up-front fee in exchange for lower monthly fees.

Because of the lower $99 hardware cost, I wonder if signing up forces a premier plan for maybe a year? Seems logical that way.

Premier is listed separately from Basic Plus in the BasicPlus-Specific ToS. This I think implies you get an as yet undefined Basic Plus plan with the $9.99. The name implies you'll get more features than Basic, but less features than Premier.

Either case, I hope this $9.99 for something other than premier is for a term (a number of months); otherwise, these customers aren't getting much of a deal I am thinking.
