Hi all.
I am trying to store an international number in my Contacts via http://my.ooma.com and it refuses to store a number beyond 11 digits. Unless there is another way to dial an international, I need to be able to store 14 digits. E.g. 01161790000000. Contacts will only allow e.g. 61790000000

Typically from cell phones you can use the + for global dialing, that doesn't work either.

Please help.

It is beta and I'm sure they appreciate the feedback and will work on making improvements.

I also had a problem with a number that I was trying to store with a *67 prefix and it doesn't store the *. The number shows up in my.ooma contacts as 671235551234 instead of *671235551234 or *67 (123) 555-1234 and when it's downloaded into the Telo handsets, it shows +*6712355512 and the rest is cut off. When I try to call using that contact, the handset displays 011*671235551234 and I can hear a dial tone but no connection.

This was a display bug. If you enter international numbers as 011<number> or +<number>, it should format it as +<country_code>-<last digits of number> in My Ooma.

It's been a long time, but this bug resurfaced again. I can't enter an international phone number in My Ooma.

I tried a workaround by adding a number to my contacts from my HD2 device. That worked, however there is no way to enter a name on the HD2, it is saved just as a number. Then I tried to edit that number on My Ooma so as to assign a name to it, but the web interface then messed up the number: it removes the "+" or "011" from the start, as well as all the digits beyond the 10th. The number that remains is some random U.S. number.

I wish there was a way to access the previous My Ooma website: my.ooma.com is redirected to my-beta.ooma.com. I am a new customer and this is a major drawback for me. I was glad to find this forum thread as I see that this has been taken care of before, because when I called Ooma support I was told: "I'm sorry but you cannot add an international phone number to your contacts. There is not enough digits in the system." That's just unacceptable. There is obviously enough digits in the system, as I can enter the number from my HD2 device. It's just the beta web interface on My Omma that messes it up. Please fix this!!!

I have to agree, we need to be able to add an international phone number to our contacts. Not sure why this would not be a feature since Ooma does offer international calling plans.
