I WANT a busy signal...help!

Post by playmaker » Sat Feb 21, 2009 1:30 pm

Hi fellow ooma converts...

Just getting up and running here, but I have a question.

If someone calls me, and I'm on the other line, I DON'T want my ooma to answer it and sent it to voice mail, nor do I want a call-waiting beep on my end.

I simply want the caller to hear an old-fashioned busy signal and call back.

I don't want to press *70 before every call, I want to disable it continually.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much.

I was in the same situation. I called them up and they were able to put up something like this for me:

"The person you are calling does not accept voicemail. Thank you for using the Ooma system."

This is the best they can do right now - it's nearly close to what you want and it was good enough for me as no one could ever leave a voicemail!
