Forwarding when unit is offline

Post by Kenron » Fri Nov 06, 2009 10:12 am

I am a snowbird and only use my ooma 6mos. of the year because I only have broadband in one location. Is it possible to have Ooma forward my ooma calls to my other home while I'm away? I turn off my internet at the ooma location when I'm gone for the 6 mos.

I am a heavy GV user - it is the front end for all of my calling. I would recommend that you do one of two things - either get Premier for your ooma and use the forward on network outage feature - it will automatically forward calls when your ooma is off-line, or use your GV number as your main number and direct it where you are. I use it to forward all of my calls to my home and cell numbers. Depending on need, I use either my ooma or my landline as my home phone - but callers never have to worry about dialing other numbers as it connects to us regardless.

Friends don't remember what Landline Integration was or why we did it.
