If I decide to give up my landline service and port the number over to my ooma, will it be possible to port the number back to the landline if for some reason ooma goes out of business? I've had the same number for close to 25 years and it's printed on all my stationary so I don't want to give it up.

Yes it wouldnt be a problem.

Techinically, Ooma does not own the number. XO communications will own the number, so if you ever port out, XO Comm will handle the port, not Ooma.
