Answering a forwarded call

Post by DrewAZ » Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:29 pm

I'm confused why it requires pressing 1. I have an iPhone and it is really a chore to do this. My suggestion would be to delete this requirement.

I agree with you on the "press 1". It should be an option, like Google Voice. However, there is a work-a-round, that's not really convenient, but it works.
Change multi-ring to "call forward on internet outage".
Before you leave your house, unplug ooma.
You will receive calls on your cell phone without the "press 1"

Down side: No one at home can answer the phone.

Thanks. Good tip.

I guess just setting it to multi-ring is the way to go ... I understand that multi-ring doesn't require 'press 1'

Multi-ring does require you to press 1.
