Alternative & Conditional Voice Mails

Post by dblenman » Sat Aug 22, 2009 9:54 pm

It would be great if through ooma I could setup a couple of different voicemail prompts. I would want to use these: When someone was calling outside of certain business hours, or when I was going to be away from this line for an extended period of time, etc...

Check Google Voice. It has these features.

With Google Voice, you can group your contacts and each group (or individuals, for that matter) can each hear a different message.

I have mine set so family members only hear my name. Other contacts get a normal greeting. And unlisted numbers and blacklisted people go straight to a voicemail that says so. As an included feature, not an extra charge.
