Groundhound, I think I over complicated things a bit.
Can I not just split the wall jack feeding the scout? (one to line one of 2line phone the other to scout )
My main # is still conected to Verizon thruout house. Or is this what you meant about "mixing" ?

Ok, forget what I said since you still have your POTS line connected on one of your home's pairs. I'm afraid that unless you can run another wire from the hub's phone port (split) to your phone's unused line connection, you will only have the flashing button as an incoming call indicator for your shared ooma line. This assumes we're talking about two ooma lines ringing on the same phone.

Is there a danger/problem connecting a phone to POTS jack without ooma device, besides no ooma service for outgoing calls?
