Calling numbers that don't except private calling

Post by frankiej » Mon Jun 08, 2009 8:18 am

Hi there... still new to ooma. I was wondering when calling numbers that don't except privat numbers. Rather saying your name and hitting the pound button. Does ooma have a *82 to unblock it?

Note: I already made sure that on my preferences that my number shows up. It's not private.

Yes it does.

From the Knowledge Base:
From the ooma Lounge, you can set whether or not you want your name displayed on outbound calls. You can also choose which of your shared or personal numbers you wish to display. If you choose to disable outbound caller-ID, you can still enable it for individual calls by dialing the prefix *82 prior to placing the call.

ooma supports both *82 and *67, but if you are already not blocking your name/number on outgoing caller id, you don't need to use *82.
