more than ONE USB port

Post by Telo_BK » Mon Mar 11, 2013 2:19 am

Telo supports several USB-based peripherals (accessories)- please add at least one more port, to avoid the necessity of having a hub. Mine's in a tight spot. As an embedded systems designer, I think someone dropped the ball. Based on the processing power, I am guessing the MCUs (SOCs or FPGAs) could handle more than one USB port.

One more thing. Ooma Telo's USB port is upside-down. The wireless adapter can bend at a 90-degree angle (and is meant to be used that way). But when you need that and another USB device plugged into the Telo, you have to use a hub, which has the ports right side-up. Said hub needs to be upside down to work with the wireless adapter. Or use a top-mounted port and have the wireless adapter straight, but with the blue indicator LED facing away).
