Just switched my service from Uverse voice to Ooma. Uverse has a great *free* voicemail app that provides instant notifications of voicemails via push notifications, shows caller ID info attached the the voicemail, and allows for playback of the message in the app. Did I mention that the app is free? The $0.99 third-party voicemail app in the Google Play Store pales in comparison. It's unclear to me whether the official $10 Ooma app has this functionality but I'm assuming from the description it does not. Xfinity has a similar app, though at the time I used it a few years ago it was buggy.

You're right, no push notification. If you go to mobile web, or full site my.ooma.com, you can listen to VM though.

However, if you have Premier, you can send your VM directly to your cell as mp3.

https://my.ooma.com/voicemail

Forward Type: Email
Email Address: Your Phone's MMS Address
Attachment Options: Audio File

Example MMS Address:

number@tmomail.net
number@mms.att.net
number@vzwpix.com
number@pm.sprint.com

Thanks, all worthwhile features - particularly the email. Still hoping for a real-deal push app, with a homescreen widget on Android.

That is what I have been doing. Created an email address that is designated for my iPhone, and forward all messages from multiple Ooma accounts to that email address as mp3 file. Even if I delete the message on my iPhone, it is retained on my Ooma system. I also receive a SMS notification for each incoming call.
