This is the email ooma sent:
I have received a request from our carrier, in order to proceed with your porting request, they are asking for a CSR, Customer Service Record, this is something different from your bill, and it is requested by you from your carrier. Once this information is received, I will submit it to the carrier.

It wasn't that I needed to call a representative they wanted the record which verizon said ooma needed to call and request not me. Hopefully all will work out with sending my bill in she said she would keep me updated.

It took overall of 6 weeks and few days more on top of that. But the porting went smooth without any problems. I haven't noticed any change during porting. My ooma wasn't even off during the porting time as some one said it will be off some hours during that time. Anyhow at last i am free from paying money and i have my old number ported to ooma.
