How about a way to forward calls during an outage?

Post by Tacoma Driver » Mon Apr 13, 2009 3:14 pm

I don't have a lot of use for the multi-ring feature, but in this case it would be nice to have an option to ring another # during an outage only. Not sure if that is doable, but it would be something I would sure like to see them work on!
So far, most people have just figured I wasn't home and didn't bother to try my cell phone and just left a message. (Which I have no way of knowing until Ooma comes back up, which it did for about 15 minutes.)

That's fine, but it would still be nice if it forwarded to my cell phone during an outage.

I believe the service would work if YOUR network was down, but I'm not sure if it would work if OOMA network was down.

That's exactly what I thought might be the problem with my suggestion; if the system is down, there's probably no way to forward a call to another number.
But if there is a way, I think it's something to work on!
