3-way conference

Post by tkc9789 » Wed Apr 27, 2011 3:46 am

New to Ooma with Premier under trial. Can I do 3-way conferencing from a non-Ooma handset? Ooma document seems to imply that this can be done via the Ooma handset or the Telo.

To initiate a three-way conference call from an Ooma Telo or Hub

You can do the following:

1. Call the first number or have them call you
2. Press the line 2 button to activate your Instant Second Line
3. Call the second number
4. Press the line 1 and line 2 buttons to bridge the two calls together
5. Both lines should now be solid orange to indicate they are in use

I am aware that 3-way can be initiated from the Telo and the Telo handset. My question was whether I can use my cordless phone to do the 3-way. As the Telo is in another room. And I don't have a Telo handset.

You'd have to use the 1 & 2 button method if using a regular phone connected to the Telo.

Using the flash button, the best you can do is to switch back and forth between 2 concurrent calls but can't join them together.
