SMS suggestion

Is it possible to integrate SMS messaging (text messaging) into the ooma device?
OOMA TELO 1 (Purchased Dec 2009.)
OOMA Telo 2 (Purchased Feb 2010.)
3 Ooma Handsets (Free from refer a friend) Sold all 3 POS on Ebay
2 GE ATT DECT 6.0
7 Uniden 1580 DECT 6.0
20 Refer A friends Completed

Interesting idea. I could see how this could be done on a telo handset (since it has a display).
ooma hub with one scout (looking to add at least one more)
Premier Service (I was not expecting to do this, but I love the Premier features)
Panasonic KX-TG4024 (w/ 4 handsets)

perhaps when they decide to make a new design for he handset. We can get a QWERTY keyboard as well. Wishfull thinking

That does open some interesting possibilities... Maybe even a telo to telo chat feature... Or maybe tied into one of the google apps. I could see how sitting on the couch would be a great place to message, especially if you did not want to use your cell phone.

In my case I don't get very good signal in my house. So having 3 ooma telo handsets would be very convenient.

SMS has been possible and used outside of North America for some time on landline etc. It basically uses the same protocol as CID/CNAM as near as I can tell.

This will be a very good idea for Ooma services. SMS services will be a excelent services for complete ooma.

would be super amazing if ooma could process text to speech on their servers and just deliver the sms as a normal phone call which could go into voicemail if not picked up. that would be terrific.
