I don't want a custom outgoing voicemail message

Post by mud » Mon Oct 25, 2010 8:22 pm

Is there any way for my outgoing voicemail message to remain the generic default message?

The voicemail setup insists on having me record my name for an outgoing message, which I don't want to do for now. That's bad enough, but it also appears that I can't retrieve my voicemails remotely until I record my name.

Am I missing something? Recording my outgoing name couldn't really be a requirement to retrieving my voicemails remotely, could it?

You can go ahead and record your name and then not use it. There are a number of defaults that you can use (with number, without number etc).
