Can Voicemail messages be heard using my landline phone?

Post by sonoransam » Thu Jan 21, 2010 7:35 am

My red light is blinking on my landline phone denoting that a message has been left. Usually I entered a three digit code and accessed my voicemail. Is there a code that I can input into my Nortel landline phone to access my voicemail or must I use my telo handset with the voicemail button or the Ooma website to retrieve my messages?

To retrieve your Ooma voicemail, just call your Ooma phone number (from ANYWHERE... landline, cell phone, whatever). During the voicemail greeting, hit "*", and then enter the PIN number you created when you set up the voicemail. (This is in addition to, as you mentioned, accessing voicemail from the My Ooma page, or from the telo.)

And if using a phone that is being fed a dial tone from your Ooma device, just call your Ooma number. This automatically puts you into your voicemail in-box, no code required.
