contacts in handset phonebook?

Post by oomamax » Mon Nov 16, 2009 12:33 pm

When I enter contacts at my.ooma.com/contacts they do not show up on the handset phonebook. Also, when entering the phone number for contacts, do we just enter numbers or dashes also. Is there anyway to import contacts, or copy from something like Outlook or Windows Mail?

They've taken down the test site for contacts and replaced it with: "Thanks for visiting! My Ooma Contacts will be launching the week of November 23rd." https://my.ooma.com/contacts

I note that all these posts are at least a year old. So - I had no trouble importing all my Outlook contacts into my Telo handset last week. Great! My question is - is there a way to jump to a contact by entering a letter of the alphabet or some other way than scrolling from the beginning of the alphabet? If not, I'll need to remove the contact list because it is too cumbersome, and just add the 20 or so that the family regularly uses.
Thanks in advance for any help.
