Calls going directly to VM

Post by 6172758100 » Sun Oct 18, 2009 11:26 am

All my calls are going directly to VM without a single ring. I have it set to 3 rings. I have reset hub, modem, router etc. Anyone know how to resolve this problem.

Make sure your "envelope" light is not lit. If it is, you are in privacy mode and need to hold it down for 5 seconds to turn it off.

thanks. envelop button is not red. should the ooma tab be blinking red? If not, how do you stop it from blinking?

Sounds like ooma is not connecting to the internet. You might want to turn it off, wait 5 minutes and turn it back on.
Since you're in the forum I can only assume you have internet.

No, the ooma hub should be solid blue.
Maybe you should reboot your entire system, modem, ooma, and router.

Any keys lite up at all?

Try rebooting the ooma hub to default.

Remove power from the hub.
Hold down the ooma tab (the one that's blinking red)
While holding down the ooma tab, plug the power back in.
Continue holding the tab down for 30 seconds while ooma does a light show.
After 30 seconds release tab. This resets the ooma hub to default.

Give it a try.

I have tried everything.... Reboot, Reset, Held Tab, Light show. Rebooted modem and router as well. The tab flickers blue for a tenth of a second but then goes back to Red and then the Light Show.

When it's done, what key lights are lit? any?

How are you setup?
Modem-->ooma hub-->router?
OR
Moden-->router-->ooma hub?
