Has anyone found a resolution? I have been on with live chat support today and I am getting nowhere. I can receive calls but cannot dial out as either hear multiple conversations, a foreign speaking person, a fax machine sound or a message saying the caller I have reached is on the phone.

Also having the same problem. Seems to only be for long distance calls as I can call locally. I will try powering down for an hour. If no success, then I will call their support line. Good thing they are on the west coast.

In addition to not being able to call 'regular' long distance, I also cannot access the MyOoma page. Can any other Canadians log onto their MyOoma page?

What I get when calling a number in my areacode is a person who starts off saying hello. A smatter of a profane words. And then the conversation turns into a kind of Russian/Romanian/Ukranian/Poslish monoloque.
I hang up and call again a new number & get the same monoloque. Ooma has a file open on it now.

I opened a support case on this. Just tested again still not fixed. Basically get the same issue as I originally reported (and others have reported).

I hope Ooma responds to this.

Ooma is aware of the issue and are looking into it.

What they recommended for me in the interim was to dial *67 before the number and that seems to work.

I am in Manitoba with a 204 area code Ooma number, and I couldn't call any other 204 number. With the workaround I'm not having any issues. My case was elevated and I will post here again when they have resolved this, unless we get an Official reply from an Ooma representative, which I think is warranted for us Canadians!

Just tried it out a few moments ago and am now able to make outbound calls.

Since Xmas eve and continuing to this point Wednesday 26th cannot connect to long distance numbers in 705 area code from Toronto area.Have called repeatedly (probably over 30 times)to same 3 numbers in 705 area code and have connected only 4 or 5 times.Often hear what sounds to be Russian or Oriental conversations.Extremely disappointed with Ooma performance during this time frame and continuing now.Purchased Ooma mid November 2012 and had been pleased with it's performance but based on this latest experience could not possibly recommend Ooma to others.
