So what exactly is a memo?

Post by Tufflaw » Tue Nov 27, 2012 10:00 am

Been using Ooma for a few years now, and I just called into my number to change my greeting and noticed a menu option to record a memo? Not sure what this is - is it something that when recorded can now be accessed on the device itself? Will the message light turn on if I leave a memo?

It allows you to record a message for yourself or e.g. a family member.
And yes the message light will turn on.

Thanks!

Although, not sure exactly what the point is - if I'm calling in anyway why not just leave a regular voicemail message?

The memo is more for when you are at home, you leave a memo before leaving so others can hears it as a voicemail when they get home.
