Obsolete (xxx) xxx-xxxx in call logs

Obsolete (xxx) xxx-xxxx in call logs

When I look at my call logs, the numbers are in the obsolete area-code / phone number format: (xxx) yyy-zzzz. T The modern (as of the last 20 years or so!) format lists all 10 digits as the phone number and matches the international phone number format and is simply xxx-yyy-zzzz.

If I want to look up an unknown number from the call logs in Google, I do a cut and paste, but it doesn't work, because Google doesn't recognize it. So for each number, I have to remove the parentheses and put in the dash before doing the search.

Can you guys fix this?

When I do a copy & paste to Google, Google searches the number fine, converting the format to xxx-xxx-xxxx.

It is probably better to search for the number on http://tnid.us
