Newbie (2 month trial) here.
We are apparently having problems terminating our international calls. Is it more difficult than we thought?

On Monday my wife called Thailand at 8:27am and had a 10 minute conversation with her nephew. She then went to work. That night she tried to call again only to find out that we had only $0.04 left in our account. Call history showed that her morning call lasted 5:35 and cost $12.77. This is approximately 5 hours longer than any other call she has made.

An email request for a review was initiated. First response suggested that the phones might not have been hung up correctly by both parties. After two days, a specialist got back to us with the anticipated news that the call was billed correctly and no adjustments would be made.

Any suggestions as to how to pursue this? My wife will, no doubt, return the Ooma Tele for a refund if she feels she has been wronged.

Yes. See below. The call was definitely placed but was only about 10 minutes long. Somehow Ooma didn't recognize the call as being terminated. Wouldn't it have terminated if either party hung up? While it's possible our handset wasn't properly hung up, I find it hard to believe that both phones were not hung up correctly.
