What cordless are you using other than telo handset

Post by pudljmpr » Sun Jun 19, 2011 3:44 pm

What cordless are you using other than the telo handset.
So we have just figured out that our old panasonic cordless system was causing problems with out OOMA and the VOIP provider before ooma.
What would happen is that on 35% of the incoming calls the phone would ring once and the disconnect.
This as you can imagine was very frustrating for us and our callers.
We finally figured out that the problem was our cordless phone system.

So Im polling people to figure out what cordless models you are using that are working well with the OOMA.

Thanks

We are using a Panasonic KX-TG6544B DECT 6.0 PLUS set of cordless phones, purchased soon after we started using Ooma phone service. We like these phones very much. One thing that we like is the voice caller ID and the large lighted dial.

Panasonic DECT with bluetooth to also link your cell phone to your cordless phones.

See model in signature below - Mostly satisfied so far. Had 1 out of 4 that was acting goofy, disconnecting after 30 seconds or so, but has not done it in awhile.

We have had success using both Uniden (non-DECT) and Panasonic DECT6 Plus phones with our Telo.

for sound quality I agree.
But I have a Dect 6 panasonic
one of the first Dect 6 models
and 30% of the time when a call is coming in the phone disconnects after the first ring.
We have determined beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is the panasonic dect 6 cordless.

So thats why Im asking

Hmmm....that's strange.

But you can get a good idea on what functionality is out there on these phones by looking here (including bluetooth): http://telephones.att.com/att/index.cfm ... s/dect-60/
