Calls dropping! Mad as hell

Been having nothing but problems with my mother's Ooma. I have had mine for over a year then I got her one for Christmas-nothing but problems, delays when answering the phone-now calls dropping out about a minute into the call.

Any ideas?

With what you are describing, sounds like a modem going out.

Since you live so close, you can try out your mom's ooma at your home to verify that it is her internet and not the hardware.

While I might have missed something, yes I have read the thread-infact you can see my happy avatar on the spot you linked to. I have run speed and jitter and QoS tests, I have used setup.ooma.com I have rebooted, I have sacrificed a chicken (sandwich).

incase there is something I missed here is some data.

Is the upload QoS an issue and if so-how do I fix it?

just got this one on test number 5 billion
got low QoS download but a much higher upload at 99%

When modems go out, the problem is intermittent. Tests could show really good numbers but still bad calls could happen. The trick is to do a test when bad calls are happening (right after a drop for example).

Upload Quality of service was very low in first test, than Download Quality of Service was low in second test, something is going on. If compatible, take your modem and Ooma device to your Mom's home and see how it works out.

lbmofo is probably right about your Mom's modem probably is failing. If compatible with your Mom's Internet provider, using your modem for testing would prove the point.
