Calls drop always...

Post by christianbehrens » Wed Nov 25, 2009 5:51 pm

Repeatedly throughout my phone calls between 2 to 5 minutes, the person I am speaking to, suddenly can't hear me and I have to finish the call. I am using an Ooma Hub that is connected to a DSL modem and a Linksys wireless router... I disconnected the router completely and the problem remained. I am using a Panasonic two line wireless phones. Anyone have any idea why this is happening. This happen in each call, since I install ooma. Thanks a lot!

Could be a QOS issue with your connection or how your router is setup.

Have you checked your connection speed? Try using the one at the following site: http://www.whichvoip.com/voip/speed_test/ppspeed.html

Also, you might want to configure your hub with a static IP address and place that IP within the router's DMZ.

I am having the same problem, can you tell me where do I get the static IP address and place that IP within the router's DMZ?
