Hi,

My father is having problem with his new OOMA when calling to Vietnam.
We're Located in Canada.
We have no problem calling people within Canada/US.
He can talk for hours when he's calling someone in the state.
But as soon as he calls Vietnam the line would cut/drop after a few minutes everytime.
There's a lady voice that says Goodbye, and he has to call back.
Calling back does not always work as if the line was engaged from the other side.

Can someone help me?

I have a modem Cable 20Mbps Down/2Mbps Up.
Modem -> OOMA -> router.

We had that same problem when calling China. It’s probably some kind of call routing issue.
We had to get Ooma Customer Support to help with our International calling issues.
They did fix the problem eventually, but we had to keep after Ooma to have the problem corrected. If first level support doesn't help you, ask for third level support.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I did call Tech support a few weeks ago and the gentelman changed the carrier.
He said he will route me to another carrier in the state??

My dad is not too happy with OOMA.

I'll try to contact them on Monday as they're not open during the weekend :(

I have my calls forwarded from my Ooma to my cell. I have to be a bit careful to let the calling party hang up first. If I hang up, the caller hears a chipper female voice say "Goodbye". Same thing happens when I go into a cement building and the call drops.

I guess it's not the end of the world but it makes me sound a bit unprofessional.

Any fix for the "goodbye" message?
