We have had ooma for two years. For the first 18 months we had zero issues. This issue happens to my wife mostly so it is critical to my nerves to get it resoloved :D .

My wife speaks to her parents way to much, but at least a hour a day. During that time when she calls them or they call her a few min into the call, they will stop hearing her (but she can still hear them) and the call will drop. sometime it will just drop. Sometimes it sounds like they are next to machinery before all this happens. Her parents have Verizon digital phone and only have that issue with our calls. It is more rare for other numbers but we dont call them with that frequency.

I have checked the ooma Telo and the Mac address is not set to automatic. I checked my internet speed and I get 12M down and 1.4 up.

I called my ISP they cant find anything wrong (not that I totaly trust that). The next step is to dump my ISP but I really want to see if there is something else I can check.

Next time you or your wife places a call to her parents, have her call using the prefix *98 or *96 and see what happens.
Example *98-1-xxx-xxx-xxxx .

How is your Ooma connected, Modem-Ooma-Router, or Modem-Router-Ooma?

Your Phonepower Speedtest results are very good.

Some additional things to try:
But because you are having phone disconnects, which are usually Internet signal stoppages, and you already have your Ooma Setup MAC address set to Use Built In, I wonder if your Modem is acting up?

Try removing power from the Modem, then repowering it. If there is a reset function for your Modem, try that also. Reference you Modem owner's manual, before your do a reset.

Note: some Modems require batteries to be temporarily removed before a successful reboot or reset can be accomplished.

If your Ooma connection is Modem-Router-Ooma try reserving an IP address, with a permanent lease, in your Router, for the Omma device.

Still happening.

First my setup
ISP ==> Modem/router ==> DMZ/Static IP/Physical Connection ==>> Ooma (no other devices conected after ooma)

using builtin MAC address
I tried unplugging my modem for 20 min.
I tried unplugging ooma overnight
I tried *98 and *99 before a call
Replaced handsets

No luck
Still having calls dropped.

I havet called ooma tech support yet. Wondering if there is more they can do than we have already done

Access Ooma Setup by connecting a network cable from the Ooma device Home port to the wired LAN port of a computer. If Wi-Fi is turned on in the Computer, temporarily turn off Wi-Fi in the computer. Reboot the computer. Type http://172.27.35.1 in the computer browser window. The Ooma Setup pages opens.
Force an Internet connection:
Don't use the following step if you are using DSL with PPPoE and Name and Password.
In Ooma Setup click on the Internet tab. Following Connection type: click on the down arrow and select Dynamic (DHCP). Click on Update Device at the bottom of the page. Remove power from the Ooma device. Then repower the Ooma device.

If the above don't help. you may have a carrier routing issue. So your next step would be to contact Ooma Customer Support:
