I set up my Oooma and after 2 hours of a blinking red logo all I got was a fast busy, despite lots of nice messages from Oooma saying I am ready to go

Rebooted my modem, hub, and Telo and no joy...same thing after an hour

Welcome to this Ooma Forum, which is frequented by many folk who are willing and able to help you; but since your report is so skimpy, and since most of us are cursed with cracked crystal balls, it's pretty difficult to even begin to guess what could be wrong. ;)

Please start by describing how your various devices are connected.

I am guessing I have a defective box

Telo connected to Linksys cable modem and then telo out to Linksys hub. In this configuration the Internet was down. Then went from cable modeminto hub and then into telo. Under this configuration telo still down but Internet back up

Every time you switch things around the cable modem needs to be rebooted.
Unplug the modem, ooma and the router. Plug the cable modem in and let it connect.
Plug in ooma, then the router. The cable modem should "see" ooma now.
