I wanted to share an unusal problem I had during the installation. After registering and installing the Hub core hardware, it would remain with the 1 and 2 buttons as a solid red. This means that it could not connect to the ooma service. Everything looked fine but the blue light would not come on even after several hours. I called support and they found that I had entered my activation code incorrectly. The problem is that the activaction code is in hexidecimal and the letter B (as in boy) looks identical to the number 8 on the sticker. So, I wound up registering someone else's box instead of mine, and that is why it couldn't connect. So if you're having this same strange problem, take a close look at your activation number and make sure you haven't mistaken a B for an 8. After re-registering with the correct code, the ooma tab turned blue within a minute. I hope they make the printing of the activation code clearer in the future.
