Installation

Post by djlane1 » Wed Jun 30, 2010 5:43 pm

I just bought Ooma. I connected the phone port on Ooma to my wall jack and my cordless to another wall jack elsewhere in the house. Is this the correct way. I get a dial tone (which sounds like music at first) and all my messages. I was wondering if this is okay or if I need to connect the cordless directly to the Ooma?

That is fine as long as the house wiring is disconnected from any external land line phone companies.
