Re-activation question?

We bought two refurbished Ooma’s hub from FRYS last week. My refurbished Ooma hub is working perfect without any single problem so far, but not the one from my friend.

My friend is going to return the non-working Ooma hub & get another one from FRYS this coming weekend. But question,

(1) Can he keeps the recent phone number that Ooma assigned it to him
(2) Does he have to deactivate the old non working device first or he just activate the new one after he come back from FRYS ?

PS: He told me he did not input any credit card information during Ooma activation (Same as me).

To keep the number that's assigned, I'd call CS to activate vs using the web activation process.
Customer Since: 3/13/10
Hardware: Telo & Hub
Service: Premier 12/06/10
Verizon Port: 3/15/10 - 4/02/10
Internet: 100 Mbps/10 Mbps

I believe that since your account just activated with that assigned number is Core, you won't be asked that by the customer service when you swap out a defective device.
