I search the forum and am still a little unsure? I tried to setup my ooma and everything seems to be ok, but I just can't get any incoming calls. During setup I did check off that I want to port over my existing phone #. Does that have anything to do with me not receiving and calls with the phone # that ooma provided??
I have Verizon dsl and the number I will be porting over is from vonage. Any help would be much appreciated.
Until the port is complete you need to keep a phone connected to the Vonage adapter.
You could go into your Vonage account and forward your Vonage number to the new temporary number. Unfortunately there has been at least one report that having your Vonage number forwarded can prevent the port from going through.
